SYSCOM is seeking a Network Engineering Administrator to join our clientrsquos Integrated Digital and Technical Services (IDTS) department which is responsible for the effective management and support of the information technology tools and the computing environment that they operate in. To be effective in this role, the information technology department must have a deep and broad functional understanding of the systems, processes, procedures, and business practices of the organization such that they can coach, mentor, and provide expertise in the adoption, use and implementation of information technology tools. The goals and guiding principles of the IDTS team are To provide the highest levels of customer service to staff and contractors. To equip users and contract staff with the tools, infrastructure, and training to perform optimally. To keep the infrastructure current typically, versions older than two years of a Generally Available (GA) software or hardware release are upgraded. To continuously add and improve solutions to strengthen performance, security, and usability. To deploy solutions that are cost-effective and fiscally sustainable. To provide redundancy and failover of infrastructure to ensure high availability of computing resources for users. The Network Engineering Administrator will work in an environment that utilizes Monitoring Software PRTG, SolarWinds, Cisco switches 2960, 3850, 9000 Catalyst series, Nexus switches 9k series, Palo Alto Firewall PA3020, PA3220, PRTG Syslog, Arubarsquos Access points, Meraki Access points, Palo Alto Global Protect VPN and DHCP. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience with Network Engineering Administration to include LAN and WAN configuration and management Subnetting Routing Network design and development Firewall configurations and management Performance, security and availability monitoring, alert management and technical support Certificates in the field VPN management and deployment Security Protocols for Wi-Fi, VPN, internet, and private circuits Please note that normal business hours are 800 AM to 500 PM PST and the work will primarily be done onsite in Pomona, CA. The position is estimated to last for 3 years and may be extended an additional 1 to 2 more years.
