Purchasing Supervisor
A Purchasing Supervisor job in Simi Valley, CA, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. You will be responsible for the overall department and ensuring the department obtains the highest quality merchandise and service at the lowest possible cost. You are responsible for evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection variety. A minimum of three years of experience managing a procurement team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred. Milgard Windows & Doors is the leading manufacturer of windows and doors in the Western United States, with operations in Washington, Oregon, and California. Milgard was recently acquired by MI Windows, creating additional growth and synergies between these two industry leaders.Purchasing Supervisor job responsibilities include:• Oversee a team of three to four team members• Responsible for all buying activities for the location.• Generate orders as required by Bill of Materials, stock supply on hand, and inventory count.• Process discrepant material reports and debit memos as required and requested.• Research vendors and suppliers and their respective pricing for optimum value.• Prepares, reviews, and distributes daily reports. • Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of the job. • Fulfill all month-end requirements, including preparation, close, and post-analysis Requirements Qualifications:• Must have previous experience in a related field.• Previous management and management skills of a minimum of three to five years. • Experience in performance management systems.• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.• Bachelor’s degree preferred.• Excellent internal and external customer service.• Excellent written and oral communication skills Milgard is growing with a track record of strong financial performance, which creates opportunities for team members.
