Required Skills and Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
+ Current GI Technical Specialist (GTS) certification
+ Two years current Endoscopy experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
+ Experience with all aspects of Endoscopy including ERCP wires and any type of stenting
+ Must possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment
+ Experience with EUS and FNA procedures

Summary This is a very fast paced unit with an emphasis on teamwork.
Endoscopy Technicians will assist Physicians with endoscopy/gastroenterology procedures and work collaboratively with department Registered Nurses.
Endoscopy Technicians participate in training of new staff, and annual competency assessment of existing staff.
They are responsible for collaborating with department leadership and Materials Specialists in troubleshooting equipment and maintaining department supplies.
The Endoscopy Department provides care in a patient centered environment.
This department performs 500-700 procedures a month including Colonoscopies, Tranesophageal Echocardiograms, Cardioversions, Bronchoscopies and Pain Management.
