Tele-Psychiatry Locums to Permanent Job in the San Francisco Bay Area Details/Requirements: *New adult outpatient and possible crisis stabilization unit coverage.

*Combination of onsite, in person, and telepsychiatry for 40 hours per week, 4×10’s or 5×8’s are acceptable.

*Specific hours to be worked out between 8am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, depending on if the chosen schedule is five 8’s or four 10’s.

*No call.*Specific duties include outpatient clinic for adults and transitional age youths (18-25), and possibly the crisis stabilization unit.*For adult outpatient services: 90 minutes for new evaluations, 60 minutes for established patients who are received as transferred cases and 30 minutes for medication follow ups.*For the crisis stabilization unit patients are mostly adults, with an occasional adolescent and there could even be a rare child.

20-30% adolescents on the average.

Doctors will make rounds and see the patients and talk with the nurse on site, if possible.

Maximum census is 12, but they don’t all have be seen every day.

There are other Doctors who can see the children and adolescents if the you are only comfortable treating adults.*Three month minimum locums tenens trial period.

*Board Certification preferred, not required.

If not boarded, then you must be truly Board Eligible.*Currently using a hybrid of paper charts and electronic charting.*For the permanent position, the salary range being offered depends on experience and will be discussed with each individual candidate.

Can choose to be an employee or an independent contractor.
