Description

Principal Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing analysis, design and test one or more complex designs and it requires creativity and independently working.

Study design concept and criteria to make sure the engineering principles are followed.

Plan.

Prepare and complete the design and analyze completed designs with senior engineers and make modifications as required to achieve the design requirements.

Manage the test programs to analyze design.

Oversee component supplier design, manufacture, analysis and test.

Responsibilities
At least 7 years of experience as Principal Electrical Engineer.

Responsible for tactical missile development and production programs and make sure electrical components are utilized in tactical products and test equipments are fit for intended use.

Support engineering and operations in selection and obtaining electrical components, make sure components requirements are met across entire life cycle.

Manage component availability to make sure components are available for production and sustainment needs and have alternate sources for components and establish component.

Aid in selecting electronic technology and components for design teams and it includes investigations and providing alternate solutions.

Know parts suppliers and manufacturing houses to identify counterfeit parts and potential injection.

Use component derating standards and build of material maintenance for counterfeit parts and current parts certifications.

Manage vendor lists and approved parts lists which includes creating standard titles for components, manage component description to standard format, identifying end of life and obsolete parts and manage standardized parts and duplicate parts to minimize inventory.

Be a part of engineering efforts to minimize costs and evaluate bills of materials and have solutions to resolve issues related with obsolete and end of life components.

Coordinate interaction with suppliers and end teams and evaluate component failure trends.

Engage in design reviews to analyze component selection and standardization and engage in materials review boards and configure control boards.

Perform failure analysis and corrective action activities for electronic components.

Knowledge of NAS411 Hazardous Materials Target List Standard Practice.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree

Must have Active DoD Secret Clearance.
