DESCRIPTION: UST is looking for highly energetic and collaborative Infrastructure Specialists with experience in deploying and maintaining enterprise solutions and driving initiatives to constantly improve system operation efficiency and performance.
The selected candidate will join the Products and Platforms team at UST.
The Infrastructure Specialist will be a; * Partner to Business and IT stakeholders at UST to analyze requirements, design required solutions, set up the infrastructure as designed, create documentation where necessary, and maintain the deployed services to ensure maximum uptime.
* A lifetime learner who can adapt to the varied demands of our customers and make sure that the systems are set up in accordance with UST’s strict security policies and standards and understand key business areas, drive adoption of future innovation in the area, and work with the team on creating pricing estimates and schedules for projects/programs * An expert in enterprise infrastructure architecture design, development, and maintenance, specifically using traditional and new, and emerging technologies.
Discover customer needs, technical feasibility, and cost-effective solutions is a needed skill.
* A proven self-starter with demonstrated ability to make decisions and accept responsibility and risk.
Understanding enterprise architecture and systems are expected.
Good customer interfacing and consulting experience is a must in this role.
* Ready to tap into the customer’s landscape and identify their infrastructure needs and provide solutions, act as the consultant to the client for any infrastructure deployment and maintenance that UST has and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability and know-how to liaise with technical individuals to C-level executives.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with key client stakeholders, build strong relationships and ensure the client’s business goals and objectives are met.
Provide technical leadership for customers, to support successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of solutions.
Identify areas of improvement in current infrastructure and drive new design and development project initiatives.
Stay on top of top business trends affecting key engagements and understand the competition by researching industry trends and make appropriate technical recommendations.
Build reference architectures, frameworks, solutions, how-to articles, and prototypes for customers.
REQUIREMENTS: * 12+ years’ experience in the Systems Administration space, specialized on high performing and complex Enterprise environments * Expertise in Private cloud (SUSE/Redhat/Vanilla) design, implementation, and administration * Experience in Kubernetes and Docker administration as well as troubleshooting issues with production Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker & Linux servers.
* Use of automation tools – Ansible and Puppet * Experience on Azure cloud and its virtualization and with Enterprise Virtualization like KVM and VMware.
* Expertise in Technologies
– Linux (RHEL, SLES, CentOS, Ubuntu) & Windows * Exposure to various enterprise (Opensource) tools * Database
– MySQL and shell scripting
– desirable * Experience in Backup/DR planning, procedures, recovering systems * Have good hands-on experience on services like – DNS, DHCP, NFS, FTP and LDAP * Expertise in LVM, RAID & Network Bonding configuration * Experience with continuances integration systems such as Jenkins * Good hands-on knowledge of Source Code Management (Version Control System) tools like Git and SVN Remote in US
