(AWP) is an industry-leading, FSC certified paper converter producing innovative bath tissue, paper towels, paper napkins, and facial tissue for the retail and commercial markets.

We have an immediate openings for Machine Operators to join our 2nd shift operations and we are willing to train.

The machine operator at Allied West Paper Corp.

will set-up, operate and maintain heavy manufacturing machinery.

The machine operator is responsible for maintaining production flowing, meeting performance goals and maintaining company’s high level of quality that consumers expect from our products.

Operate hand tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.

Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as they occur.

Machine Operators at AWP start at 50k/Year!

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
Set up machinery for operation
Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
Troubleshoot issues and perform some maintenance
Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
Comply with all safety and health regulations.
Clean machinery and maintain good housekeeping in work area
Assist maintenance in facilitating product changeovers
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Additional Requirements:
Previous machine operating experience in a fast paced manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience preferred.
Must have strong attention to detail
Mechanically inclined to perform product change overs
Good manual dexterity
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Ability to work in a team environment
Willingness to work early hours, late hours, weekends and overtime as needed.
Understanding of production and plant processes
Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations
