Leading National General Contractor in Sacramento is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our high-energy team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and the development of the business/sales relationships with potential clients and to assist senior business development with the expansion of market sectors to identify, track and pursue potential opportunities

National General Contractor established in 1991 as a multi-service construction company specializing in project site development, ground-up, new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements for the commercial and industrial sectors.

Description

* The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and the development of the business/sales relationships with potential clients and to assist senior business development with the expansion of market sectors to identify, track and pursue potential opportunities

* Assist in the development, implementation, and adhering to strategic sales plan to achieve growth goals

* Assist with the organization of trade shows, golf tournaments and actively participate in events to prospect to generate leads

* Utilize databases to record sales and opportunities for inclusion of marketing

* Continuously evaluate market sectors and informed of market trends in order for my client’s to be informed of opportunities

* Track lead progress with contact management Platform

* Prepares regular sales report showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed customer base expansion

* Demonstrate a strong business expertise and understanding of industry practices and new developments construction process, delivery models, contract types to obtain new work

* Assist with qualifying opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure my client is strategically positioned

* Work with Senior leaders to create Go/no-go pursuit strategy

* Respond to customers requests, resolve critical issues in a timely manner

* Collaborate with other my client’s team members to ensure that opportunities and prioritized

* Ensure my client’s is aware of significant development in the markets in pursuit of

Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field

* Experience in sales, marketing or related field

* Strong communication skills and IT fluency

* Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task

* Excellent organizational skills

* Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty

* Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

* Comfortable using a computer for various tasks
