A Continuous Improvement (CI) Supervisor job in Temecula, CA, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. You will work directly with the department’s manager implementing enhancements/CI methods such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 8-D Problem Solving and Value Analysis to drive out waste and improve productivity. You must have a minimum of three to five years’ experience leading or driving CI and Lean initiatives. Along with a four-year college degree, preferably in the Engineering field, to develop strategies around initiatives and culture transformation. Milgard Windows & Doors is the leading manufacturer of windows and doors in the Western United States, with operations in Washington, Oregon, and California. Milgard was recently acquired by MI Windows, creating additional growth and synergies between these two industry leaders.

Continuous Improvement (CI) Supervisor job responsibilities include:

• Oversee CI team in the daily maintenance of the Milgard Operating System.
• Work with CI Manager to develop strategies around CI initiatives and culture transformation.
• Partner with operations departments to identify development opportunities and develop plans for execution.
• Lead and facilitate Kaizens to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
• Assist operations leaders with the usage of lean tools and the development of lean skills.
• Challenge operations leaders to utilize data-driven problem solving to make tangible enhancements daily and provide tools for them to do so.
• Manage administrative duties for CI team (payroll, 1:1 review, huddles, etc.)
• Develop training materials and effectively deliver those materials in a team environment to ensure employees throughout the facility are trained in CI concepts and philosophy 

Requirements

Requirements Qualifications:

• A minimum of three to five-plus years’ experience leading or driving CI/Lean initiatives
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior cross-functional team facilitation experience preferred.
• You should have a strong background in problem-solving, planning, and organization.
• A prior history of proven employee development and team-building skills.
• College Degree, preferred, BA/BS preferably in the Engineering field.
• Six Sigma certification
