Project Coordinator at a Leading Interior Design Firm (Walnut Creek)

Our client, a leading furniture dealership with offices in San Francisco and San Jose, is looking for a driven Project Coordinator to join their growing team. In this role, you will act the on-site point of contact, and liaison between the internal project team, client and third-party installation teams.

About the Role:

  • Verify site conditions including but not limited to: field measuring, inventory of existing product, paths of travel etc.
  • Monitor shipping, delivery and installation schedules based on construction completion and move-in dates
  • Request labor quotes from third part installation companies as required
  • Create installation schedules
  • Locate power and data in the field as needed
  • Resolve product/installation issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor progress of entire installation from beginning to end
  • Communicate daily with internal project team, lead installers, and clients
  • Manage and tracks change orders relative to labor/project scope
  • Coordinate and works with general contractors and sub-contractors to maintain installation schedule
  • Attend construction meetings when required
  • Track billable PM time

About You:

  • BS or BA from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ year of experience in furniture project management, or in an equivalent industry, i.e. construction management
  • Proficient in learning business operating systems
  • Experience using PlanGrid is ideal
  • Effective time management/prioritization skills (must be able to execute multiple projects, simultaneously)
  • Excellent written + verbal communication skills
  • Encompass the spirit of teamwork + collaboration
  • Have a passion for furniture and problem solving
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • Must have a valid California drivers license
