Diesel Technician

We have immediate openings for apprentice with 2 years experience to journey level with 5 or more years diesel mechanic experience. These positions work under the supervision of the Operations Manager, repairing heavy duty trucks, trailers, and cargo tanks.

Under general supervision, performs diagnostic trouble shooting and repairs including but not limited to cooling system, electronics, air systems, engine, transmission, clutch, steering, brake and wheel, hydraulic systems, seals, differentials, etc. Must have a thorough knowledge of heavy duty diesel mechanics and diagnostics. Must document all time, materials, and work performed on repair orders. Must be able to make repair recommendations, take direction when needed, and have a positive work behavior.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Has fundamental knowledge of all mechanical and electronic systems concerning Diesel powered engines.
• Knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic air tools as well as current knowledge of computer trouble shooting software.
• Clean DMV record
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), ASE certifications is a plus but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as repair and troubleshooting procedure manuals
• Computer literacy with knowledge in Microsoft office, Internet explorer, and Windows based software
• Ability to push, pull, carry, lift up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100
